my super power

yesterday, while sitting at my desk at work... i kept thinking about how much i wanted a cookie or cupcake, something sweet but not a huge commitment desert-wise, you know?

moments later, a co-worker burst through the door with a tray of cupcakes, saying it was the birthday of a gal in studio b... and they had lots of extra cupcakes for those of us in studio a.

awesome.

this morning, i missed breakfast. so i've been sitting here wishing for another said cupcake... or a bagel. then i went into a homer-like "mmm... bagels... man, i would kill for a panera bagel..."

and BAM! e-mail in my inbox that says "bagels and cream cheese in the kitchen in studio a! keep up the good work! -HR"

double awesome.

i think this may be my super power?

Rittenhouse's Women of Marvel card set

my 176 sketch cards for the "women of marvel" trading card set are now online! woohoo!

this set was a BLAST to draw. i hope everyone digs what i did :-)

new shipping stickers

people that have gotten anything in the mail from me recently have seen these... and i was told i needed to share 'em with everyone!

i made my own "do not bend" and "fragile" stickers for when i ship my art. mostly because everyone at the USPS, fedex and UPS seems to like to TRY to ruin things. i mean, you'd really have to try to destroy some of the things i've mailed out... and sometimes things get trashed.

so now i stick these all over everything:

the other version of the "fragile" sticker says "treat this as if it was a package you were delivering to your own mother. would you want your mother to receive a box full of shards of plastic and broken dreams? no. you wouldn't. be nice to this package AND your mother. thanks!"

but some people thought that one was a bit much.

ryan's in vegas and i'm still working

ryan is now away at NAB (the place to be for his kind) in vegas this week.... and now i'm bored and lonely.
as i sat down to my dinner of mac n' cheese (with a beer).... i couldn't help but think "it only took him being gone for half a day for me to diminish to this. what will i be like by thursday?!"
it's a sad sight to see.

got lots done this weekend, lots more on the way.
