i was asked to draw a little somethin' up of my favorite literary figure/author/character... whatever!
i picked shel silverstein. his poems and books were essential to my childhood. i'm 26 years old and reading "the missing piece" still makes me all gooey and emotional.
awesome shel picture. Are you selling it? if you are, i think it would look awesome in my class room! big fan of your work, can't wait to see more.

So I was searching for old Star Wars cards that I used to collect on Google and your website came up. I had heard you on CGS a few times but I never visited your site. I got a little misty when I saw this drawing. I am a a huge Shel Silverstein fan and this really reminded me of how much fun it will be to read his books to my children someday.

Oh man, Where The Sidewalk Ends was right up there with Where The Wild Things Are and D'Aulaire's Book of Greek Mythology in my holy trinity of childhood favorite books. Really excellent piece... you should consider making this a print if you can!
