most people who know me know that i have no love for aquaman.... but the amazing site project rooftop's newest contest was to design him, and i couldn't resist designing the aquaman from the comic *i'd* read about the fishy lil' guy.
so i've made him a squirrelly lil', young surfer dude. he loves fish (even though sometimes they don't respect him), he's quirky, he can be a little bit of a coward and he has a little goldfish for a sidekick named "koi"... who he carries around at all times when he's on land in a little plastic bag. i imagine a LOT of great gags for when the bag rips in battle... aquaman desperately trying to find new, water-filled vessels for his fishy while still trying to fight the enemy. the book practically writes itself!
but this is the aquaman *i'd* read. damn right.
I like Aquaman but I would buy this comic. Could be a fun kids comic.
