katie's NYCC sketch round-up pt. 2

NYCC this year was the first time i took a few seconds to grab some pictures of my convention-famous "mini paintings". at EVERY convention i do, i have these little 3" x 4" cards that i cut down and round the corners on myself (or... with ryan's help). people give me an idea, a suggestions... whatever... and i paint it on the spot!

or, like some of these, i just kind of paint whatever comes into my head. they're silly and fun... enjoy!

i am a special guest of the show... i'm pretty sure in vegas that means my booth is flanked by showgirls. i could be wrong though.

Kirby Krackle will be there... and so will an artist i love, colleen coover! i'mma' bug her SO MUCH. she's going to think i'm VERY strange. just sayin'.

all the info about the location, times, etc. are on the site. it's about a mile and a half away from the las vegas strip, so you can come see me and then go do something else. apparently there's stuff to do in vegas? i'm not sure. i've never been.

old school katie design samples

lately, i've realized i NEVER put any of the work that i did when i worked at the design company a while back up online in my portfolio. i worked for this company for over 5 years! and not one thing is up on my site from it. thought i'd change that and start showing off a few things slowly over the next few weeks (mixed in with nerd art too!). the company recently made some changes that impacted a few friends of mine, so my old job was back in my mind again.

here are a few patterns for a set of matching scrapbooking papers. (i think this is back from 2006? 2007? i have no idea any more. they were in a scrapbook page kit in JoAnns a while back)
